This mile long shingle beach in a very quiet rural location is backed by a large area of grassland and a freshwater lake. A sea wall protects the line of cottages and pub that make up this lovely village.The coastal path runs nearby making Beesands a favourite stopping point for walkers and the beach is also a popular location for fishing.

There is extensive free parking available and the green area is complete with children's play area.

There are toilet facilities and a shop selling local fresh fish as well as ice creams and snacks. The beautiful but small village church is open during the summer months and sells delicious cream teas and snacks.

The local pub The Cricket Inn, is open throughout the day serving excellent food and drinks.

A lifeguard is on duty from May through to the end of September.

Dogs are permitted throughout the year.
