South Hams Roofing was founded about 20 years ago by Mr P. Scoble who is the Managing Director of the company. He has carried South Hams Roofing into the place it is now, at the forefront of slating and tiling in the local area.

The company started off as a small family run business operating from the upstairs of their house in Uphempston. The company relocated in December 1999 to Lapthorne Farm Estate in Ipplepen, where it could a hold large stock of roofing materials and had better office facilities. In January 2005, the Company moved into new, purpose-built offices and store still on the Lapthorne Farm Estate in Ipplepen.

The company is still going strong and is expanding more by the day. We have a policy of training our own roofing operatives as much as possible and with South Hams Roofing they can work in a friendly environment to the best of their ability.
