Welcome to the Durant Arms, hotel and restaurant, a unique 18th century country inn, set in the beautiful south-hams village of Ashprington, overlooked by a beautiful 16th century church.

The historic market town of Totnes, is only 2.5miles away. A tributary of the river Dart, Bow Creek is within walking distance from the village, as is the well-known Sharpham Vineyard and Dairy. The South Hams area is also famous for its picturesque countryside and lovely sandy beaches.

With a four-star AA rating within the inns category and a unique atmosphere, you can relax knowing you will enjoy the quality, service and value for money we have to offer you. We can cater for parties of up to 50, such as weddings, birthday celebrations, or in time of bereavement.

We pride ourselves in providing an extensive, home-cooked traditional menu using the finest locally sourced produce. Whether you would just like to join us for a quick snack or a three-course a la carte meal, quality, service and value for money is our priority. We keep a well stocked bar, with wines and champagne from around the world (and of course locally), spirits and real ales from St. Austell brewery in Cornwall (Tribute - An award winning beer and Dartmoor - A traditionally brewed bitter, with its recipe originally from the famous Devon moor).

Also available are our range of award-winning local (Buckfastleigh 5 miles away) Luscombe organic soft drinks, and Cider, always a treat! Should you require any special wines/drinks for your party, we are usually able to aquire these with at least a weeks notice.
