Blackawton International Festival of Worm Charming World championships. Wormcharming threatened by Mongolian Death Worm...Newsflash! Bert Quigley, our roving wormcaster, reports a threat from the Mongolian Death Worm to this year's Wormcharming competition in Blackawton on 1st May 2011. Warnings to this effect have been posted in the area. Click here to view the poster. Wormmaster, Nick Smith, says:"This is the last thing we need. Mongolian Death Worms are horrible, in fact, so horrible that they hate themselves. If this year's worm count is low, we will no doubt get a visit from DEFRA. God help us all." Don't forget the fancy dress ! The theme for The 30th Blackawton International Festival of Wormcharming is forests, trees and all things woodland - in recognition of this being the International Year of Forests. Fancy dress is always encouraged and there will be prizes for the best themed outfits. It's free to enter. |
