- The College Afloat - This placid painting shows H.M.S.
Britannia and H.M.S. Hindustan floating serenely on the waters of the Dart in
1890. Painted by C W Fothergill - Chief Instructor of Drawing and Surveying,
Sandhurst. These former warships were converted into training ships for naval
cadets in use until BRNC was established in 1905.
