Welcome to the Great Cotton web page. Our cottages are situated at Great Cotton Farm, a working arable and livestock farm on the outskirts of Dartmouth.

Beautifully converted from stone barns, these delightful cottages retain many original features. All the cottages are fitted with dishwasher, washing machine, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, colour TV, video recorder, gas central heating and gas living-flame stove. They also have private patios leading to a large, grassy communal area suitable for badminton, football or just relaxing. |

Sailing, fishing and trips on the River Dart are all within easy reach, and just over two miles away is the lovely Blackpool Sands (with watersports centre during the summer months). The Woodlands Leisure Park and the Dartmouth Golf and Country Club are only five minutes drive away. The area abounds with a huge variety of activities providing interest for the family whatever the weather. |
The cottages form a courtyard with Pigeon Loft placed at right angles to a terrace containing Buntings, Skylarks and Crows Nest.
Pigeon Loft (Sleeps 6/7) Ground Floor: large hall. Bedroom 1 - has a double bed and optional single bed. Bathroom with bath, shower attchment, WC and washbasin. Bedroom 2 - twin beds. Half landing with french windows leading to a patio. First Floor: Bedroom 3 - double bed with en-suite bathroom. Large lounge leading to a kitchen with dining area.
The Buntings (Sleeps 3) Ground Floor: Family bedroom with double and single bed. Bathroom with bath, shower attachment, WC and washbasin. First Floor: Open-plan living room with kitchen and dining area. French windows lead to a patio.
Skylarks (Sleeps 4) Ground floor: Hall. Bedroom 1 - double bed. Bedroom 2 - twin beds. Bathroom with bath, shower attachment, WC and wash basin. First Floor: Open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. French windows leading to patio.
Crows Nest (Sleeps 6) Ground floor: open-plan lounge with dining and kitchen area. Bedroom 1 - double bed and en-suite bathroom, half-landing with french windows leading to a patio. First Floor: Bedroom 2 - twin beds. Bathroom with bath, shower attachment, WC and washbasin. Gallery above with twin beds and own TV.

How to get here.........
Leave the A38 at Buckfastleigh and take the A384 for Totnes. Turn right for Kingsbridge (A381) and drive to Hallwell. At Hallwell turn left just past the garage and follow the signs to Dartmouth. Just before reaching Dartmouth turn right at the Great Cotton Farm sign and continue for ¼ mile down a narrow lane passing two bungalows on the left before reaching the farm and cottages.
