Challaborough Beach
Challaborough beach is a sheltered horse shoe shaped cove made up of excellent fine sand. At low tide, there are plenty of interesting rock pools to explore or alternatively you could take to the coastal path and stroll along the commanding cliffs of the South Devon coast. The cove lends itself well to watersports and the nearby Holiday Park ensures that guests are never short of entertainment. The beach is especially popular with surfers and hosts top class surf competitions. Safety when bathing is also reassured by the regular presence of lifeguards. There is a cafe, toilets, and first aid facilities. There is also a car park. The beach didn't have the Blue Flag in 2004 - so it's a welcome addition to Devon's Blue Flag beaches in 2005.
